A lifelong love of nature and a passion for photography.

Since hearing David Attenboroughs voice on the tv as a child 'Life on Earth', i've been hooked on wildlife. From insects to Elephants they all draw my attention.

Photography came in my adult life using a DSLR in my 20's, now to the ever more popular mirrorless systems. Bird photography especially owls are a subject I really enjoy photographing. They hold a beauty and secret life that's amazing to capture. Photography has taken me on safari to Africa and India where some of the great spectacles in nature are still around to photograph. For how long is anyones guess. Runner up in the Scottish Nature Photo Awards 2020 Portrait Category, also highly commended in the British Wildlife Photo Awards.

Field craft is an essential part of creating my images, knowing your subject is key to making the images that deliver natural behaviour without intruding on the animal. I always see the image i want to create when i work with a subject, it may takes, hours, days or even weeks to achieve so patience is a must!
